Mosin-Nagant Scope Mount

Description

THE BEST scope mount for your Mosin-Nagant rifle if you want a rock-solid precision scope mount and still want to quickly remove your scope and be able to shoot your rifle with the original iron sights. This high-precision low-profile scope mount combines the mounting plate design of the original Mosin-Nagant Sniper Rifles and the time-tested side-mount design used by Weaver for decades. The interlocking mount and plate design returns to zero every time. The quick-detach design also allows you to use a standard rifle case.

IMPORTANT:  This mount only fits round high-wall receivers like the original sniper mounts.  The mount will not fit hexagonal receivers or round receivers with low walls.

The mount is CNC-machined from a single billet of 6160 T6-hardened aluminum alloy with a mil-spec anodized hardcoat.

The black oxide mounting plate has two horizontal “feet” that extend the length of the plate that can be filed to accommodate the variation found in Mosin-Nagant receivers and achieve precision alignment of the mount with the barrel.

The mount is attached with robust thumb screws that have deep knurling for easy grip and a large slot to accommodate a large coin, car key, or other handy object for final tightening.  The screws have a 40 TPI thread pitch to provide a highly vibration-resistant attachment.

The military-spec Picatinny rail is compatible with all optics designed to mount on Picatinny or Weaver-style rails.

The installation of the mounting plate requires the drilling and tapping three holes into the receiver of your rifle and probably some minor cutting of the stock at the scope mount location. Detailed instructions are included.
